MaxTV acquires exclusive rights to broadcast English Premier League 2019/20

MaxTV, a free-to-air channel, with specialty in entertainment and sports, has acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the English Premier League (EPL) 2019/20 season, free to air games in Ghana.

The EPL, which is arguably the best and most watched football league in the world, would be broadcast live on MaxTV during lunch time every Saturday, with the aim of give Ghanaian football fans that best content they always crave for.

MaxTV apart from showing a live game on Saturday Match days, will also bring to the viewing public; the Premier League Preview show, the Premier League Review show and the Premier League World.

The Premier League Preview show which will also air every Friday at 8PM and repeated at 7PM on Saturdays, will provide an insightful build up to all the matches to be played over a particular weekend, breaking down the figures and making meaning of the head to head statistics as well as team’s strength and weaknesses.

This promises an opportunity to football fans who love to predict games or stake bets on matches to be abreast with all the clues they need to get their predictions spot on.

Broadcast Journalist, Kwame Dwomoh-Agyemang, speaking as the special guest at the EPL launch, congratulated MaxTV for acquiring the exclusive broadcasting rights, explaining how difficult it was to get access to view an EPL match in the past. He further encouraged the football loving public not to miss any of the programmes as fans viewers stand the chance to win exciting prizes as well

Kojo Amoah, Marketing Department,  MaxTV, indicated that one lucky fan gets an all expenses paid trip to England to watch a live premiere league match as part of the premier league viewing activities to give football fans the best of services.

To titillate football lovers and viewers of MaxTV the more, at 7PM on Wednesdays and 7PM on Thursdays, viewers get to enjoy Premier League World, which is a magazine show that focuses on behind the scenes and up-close with Premier League clubs, players, managers and ex-players.

As part of the Premier League package, MaxTV will also show the Premier League Review. This is a one-hour highlight show that captures the most important actions of all the ten Premier League games on Match days.

The show gives Premier League fans the opportunity to see all the goals and key highlights of any game they might have missed and it is to air on Mondays at 8PM, Tuesdays at 7PM, Wednesdays at 8PM and Thursdays at 9PM.

This offers football addicted fans the opportunity to get practically everyday football news and related insight of their favourite football club and that of their rivals.

On Match days, MaxTV will treat its audience with a top class studio discussion an hour before kick-off. The studio discussions will start at 1PM, with some of the best pundits and football analysts in the country


Key amongst the pundits will be Head Coach of the Black Stars B, Maxwell Konadu, Former Fulham and Black Star player, Derek Boateng, ex-Black Star player, Joe Addo, ex-Black Star player, CK Akonnor, ex-Black Star Laryea Kingston and seasoned football analysts, Jeffery Asare and Samuel Bartels.
