O.Rasheed Returns to Cambodia with a promise to take the Metfone Cambodia League by Storm

Rasheed Adeyanju who held sway banging in Goals for Build Bright United and Nagaworld FC in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 Season Respectively has returned to Cambodia to pitch tent with Ministry of Defense in the 2020 Metfone Cambodia League Following Stints in Europe and Middle East.

The Striker  was unveiled by the Club on Friday 14th February on the eve of the start of the 2020 Season

“I am delighted to be back to the Cambodia League soon, I miss the country and of course my family” he stated moment after the unveiling

Rasheed took the Metfone Cambodia League by storm in his debut season in 2015/2016 scoring 19 Goals for Build Bright United and was snapped by Nagaworld the following Season, After a goal drought of about 4 games, the 24 year old recovered his scoring form and hit 16 goals that season which attracted Aswan FC of Egypt to sign up the Player. Unfortunately, negotiations between club and his Agents fell through and after a few games in Egypt, Rasheed moved to Magusa Turk Gucu of Cyprus where he helped the team to the finals of the League cup in 2017.


Richard also had stints in Sealife Maldives and Saint George Ethiopia before moving to Saudi Arabia where he is currently looking to tie up a New Deal.

‘I am impressed with what has happened to the Cambodia League since I left about 16 months ago, there has been a lot of improvement and sure I am looking forward to taking the league by storm. I feel like a wounded Lion ready to Roar” He declared.

“I have missed My Wife and Kids all these while and so it is a good reunion for me and hopes to settle down quickly for business,” he said

The army will kick start their season with a trip to Tonle Bati to face the FFC Academy side but their new acquisition, Omokafe Rasheed will not be making his debut due to Registration formalities are yet to be completed

“I won’t be playing Today ( Saturday) because of issues with my Jersey Number and Name. I would prefer to use my  former name and Jersey Number but the club printed a different name so once that is sorted I should be ready to go hopefully in the next match” he enthused
